Role and permission reference
Compare organization roles, table-level restrictions, and workflow capabilities.
Organization roles
- Administrator: organization and entity setup; membership and table access; filing creation; preparation; review; controlled reopen; applicable export, submission-evidence, retention, and recovery controls.
- Preparer: filing creation, value entry and import, evidence, validation resolution, reviewer assignment, and review submission within granted access.
- Reviewer: inspection, comments, request changes, and approval when assigned and when review access covers the filing.
- Read only: inspection without data or workflow mutation.
Table-level access
An administrator may set an edit or review allowlist for a member. No allowlist means role defaults apply. A populated allowlist narrows that capability to named table codes. It does not expand the organization role or grant access to another organization.
Workflow conditions
Status further restricts capability. Preparation is available in draft and changes requested. Reviewer decisions are available when ready for review. Approved and exported values are locked.
Verification
Test access through the actual member account. Check both a permitted and a deliberately out-of-scope table. Review the audit history after any role or access change.
Limitation
Technical capability does not replace your organization’s segregation-of-duties, delegated-authority, or access-review policy.
